Got a specific question or just not really sure where to start? The Enquiries team are available to help with anything you need to know about the library and where to start looking for the information you need. If we can’t provide you with an answer then we will refer you to the person or department who can.Searching the Library Catalogue
Not sure how to find out what information is available to you in the library? We can show you how to search the library catalogue to find anything from books and journals to exam papers and music scores. If the book or journal you need isn’t held in our collection we can advise on how to find it elsewhere.Accessing Electronic Resources
Our staff are available to advise on how to access electronic resources including databases, e-journals and e-books. We can talk you through the process of using your GUID which will allow you to access a wide selection of electronic resources. Some e-journals and databases have unique log in details – we can provide these too.Using Electronic Resources
If you need a bit of advice on how to get started searching and using e-journals, databases and e-books then we can help. We will show you the basics and, if you need further advice or tuition, we will put you in touch with the Subject Librarian who specialises in your area.Using Exam Papers
Past exam papers are a useful tool for your revision and available to you both electronically or in print. We can show you how to locate the ones you need and access them in either format.Booking Group Study Rooms (Students)
Need a space to carry out some group work or revision? You can book one of the library’s group study rooms by coming to the main enquiry desk on level 3. We will do our best to accommodate you at a time and date which suits.Booking Research Rooms (Academic Staff)
There are a number of Research Rooms available in the Library for the use of academic staff. Enquiry staff can advise you on the availability of these rooms and make a booking for you either in person or by email.General Reference Questions
Looking for general information not necessarily related to your subject or studies? We have a range of reference books and online resources which may provide you with the answer you need. These include dictionaries and biographies, encyclopaedias and atlases, business directories, job seeking, CV and interview skills and a lot more. Enquiries staff can point you in the right direction.Contact Us
