Quick Guide

The Library is opposite the Fraser Building on Hillhead Street.

Your student registration/staff card is also your Library card - have it ready as you will need it to get through the turnstiles. The entrance is on Level 2, where you will also find the Information Point, Lending Services and the Short Loan Collection. The Short Loan Collection is where you'll find multiple copies of books in high demand. Ahead you'll see the Library directory which will help you find your way around the building. There are two sets of lifts and stairs - one opposite Lending Services and the other beyond the Lending Services. To locate facilities e.g. toilets, refreshment area, photocopiers etc, have a look at the floor plans and directional signs on each level.

Opening Hours

We're open every day of the week from 07.15 - 02.00 (except for Christmas and New Year). Staffed services are 09.00 - 20.00 Monday - Friday and 13.00 - 17.00 at weekends during semester. Self-issue/return machines are available at all times.
