LibQUAL+ Library Service Survey

‌The University of Glasgow Library is using LibQUAL+ to measure library users' perceptions of the quality of service and to identify the most important areas of improvement for our users.

The LibQUAL+ survey was developed by ARL (Association of Research Libraries) in partnership with Texas A&M University and is being used by Libraries worldwide.
The survey measures service quality including affect of service, information control, and library as place as well as general satisfaction.

The University of Glasgow Library has participated in this project 7 times since 2003 and in 2010 we used the new Lite protocol. We take the responses seriously. We have analysed the results and implemented changes in response to the concerns identified. The changes include improvements to the physical facilities, upgrades to the website to enhance its usability, greater access to e-journals and e-books and further purchases of textbooks, longer opening hours and enhanced client-focused service delivery.

We would like to thank everyone who participated in the LibQUAL+ survey.
