How to access your Learning Works allowance
THIS YEAR WE ARE CHANGING THE WAY IN WHICH YOU ACCESS YOUR LEARNING WORKS ALLOWANCE
You now register for your £150.00 allowance after you have decided on the type of learning that you want to do and identified the Learning Provider.
To access the allowance you must complete the following steps:
- Decide on type of learning - involves completing a Personal Development Plan (PDP)
- Apply for a Voucher - involves completing a Voucher request form
- Registration - involves completing a Registration form
Assuming that your choice of learning is approved by Learning Works your learning is then paid.
Outline of the process
When you decide on the type of learning you want to do, and found your Learning Provider, you must complete a PDP. The type of learning supported by Learning Works should show some benefit to both the individual and also the University. All PDP's must be approved by the Learning Works departmental head.
A Voucher Request form should be completed with the Learning Provider details.
Also you must register for your allowance. Registering with Learning Works is a simple process that allows us to check your eligibility and to add your details to the Learning Works database.
When your PDP has been accepted, and you have completed your Voucher Request and Registration forms, a Voucher is issued and sent to you at your Departmental address. On receipt of your Learning Voucher you should take it to your Learning Provider and we will pay for your learning up to the value of the voucher, when the Provider sends us an invoice.
Happy Learning!
