Using the System (basic)
Make sure that you have connected the USB receiver to the computer. Start the Interwrite Response software. This can be done by clicking on the desktop icon or locating the programme and opening it ("start - all programms" for Microsoft Windows or locating it in the applications folder for Apple Mackintosh).
The first screen is purely for information and additional help. This page needs to be closed before you can go any further.
The next screen is the options screen that allows you to test the hardware, set up a new class, collect responses or manage your data.
You are now ready to set up a new class. From the main menu choose "Create a new class". The first screen is purely for help and information and can be passed.
If you set up your own database always make sure that it is selected in the main menu screen by using the dropdown menu otherwise your results will be saved to the default location.
You will then get the screen below. The only information that you need to give it is a name although the additional information might help make it easier to identify in the future.
There is then a subsections page but we will ignore that. You now need to choose the handsets that you will be using.

Skip the create roster page and finish.
Once you have chosen your handsets you will be taken back to the main menu.
You are now ready to collect responses or start your PowerPoint presentation.
