Teaching Excellence Awards 2005-06
The Selection Panel for the 2005-06 Teaching Excellence Awards is pleased to announce that awards have been made to the following members of staff.
- Dr Susan Stuart, HATII
for personal excellence in all aspects of her teaching practice and in her work as an Adviser of Studies
- Professor Jim Murdoch, Law
for providing a unique, inspiring and rewarding experience to his students through his work as Course Co-ordinator, of the ?European Human Rights Project?
- Dr Quintin Cutts, Computing Science
for his observation of and attention to the actual needs of students in his discipline and for his commendable efforts in creating solutions and aids to learning issues
- Dr Thomas Whitelaw, Mathematics
for his dedicated, inspirational and passionate teaching of Mathematics and for his fundamentally caring approach to student learning
- Dr Carol Ditchfield, Dr Joanne Burke, Dr Margaret-Ann Flynn and Mrs Alison Howarth, Medicine
for their dedication, determination and skill in the development and delivery of the new curriculum in Medicine over the past 10 years
- Mrs Margaret Sneddon, Nursing and Midwifery
for her contributions to the development of teaching and practice in relation to the care of chronic oedema patients
The Selection Panel was very impressed by the quality and diversity of teaching practice described in all the nominations and wishes to congratulate and commend all the nominees from the first stage of the selection process on.
