Description of services
Microsoft Exchange is a messaging and collaborative software product, which can be used by registered members of University Staff. Features include electronic mail, shared calendars and tasks and dedicated client support for mobile and web based access to information. It is included in the Standard Staff Desktop (SSD)

24x7x52 subject to occasional maintenance downtime.

Charges and fees
Centrally funded - no additional charge to Colleges or University Services for the standard service.
Customer obligation
The Exchange service has a finite storage capacity and in order to maintain availability and performance a quota is applied to all mailboxes.
The standard quota for Exchange 2007 is 2Gb
Exceeded standard quotas
- 1.8Gb You will receive a warning email telling you that you are approaching your quota.
- 2Gb You will receive a warning email and you will be prohibited from sending email from your account until you have reduced the size of your mailbox to below the prohibit send quota.
- 2.1Gb You will receive a warning email and you will be prohibited from sending and receiving email until you have reduced the size of your mailbox to below the prohibit send and receive quota.
