Back-up data Service

The Backup Service provides the facility to copy data over the network from individual servers or other critical systems to centrally located tape storage.
Backup is an essential part of the protection provided for all systems which the IT Services runs. The Backup Service is provided to allow additional systems anywhere on campus, nominated by individuals, to be protected from catastrophic media failure, data corruption or simple error in deleting data still required.
