Updating drivers
It is important to keep your system up to date. As well as applying all relevant security patches you should also be keeping the systems device drivers current. This will improve the security of the box as well as help increase system performance. Below are some steps to upgrading you drivers.
Alternativley you can visit the vendors website and download driver updates. These will either come in the form of an executable, which will run an installation program and automatically install the corect drivers. There may also be sites that provide files to be loaded manualy by the user. To install drivers this way follow the instructions given here.
- Click on the Start button and the select Run.
- Insert the following text into the Run dialog box.
C:\WINDOWS\system32\mmc.exe "C:\WINDOWS\system32\compmgmt.msc" /s

Click OK - Click on Device Manager and then select the device you want to update and Left Click on the device and select Update Driver.

Update Driver - This will launch the Update Wizard which will guide you through the process of updating your device driver..
