GUID Discovery service instructions

Honorary/Associates/Atypical workers who do not have a University email address can use a personal email address pre-registered with HR.*

 1. Open up the GUID registration service webpage.
Enter your details in the boxes provided and click 'submit'.

2. If successful you will  be sent your user-id and a web address via your the email address you used to register.
Open the web link contained in the email and insert your user-id and staff number (6 digits). credentials discovery service 2
If successful you will be sent another email with a randomly generated password and details on how to change your password on the password self service page.

password self service image 3. We strongly recommend you change your password following our password guidelines and set your challenge/response questions to allow you to retrieve a forgotten password.

*New Associate/Honorary/Atypical workers status individuals provide a personal email on their original application form.
If this was not provided please contact Human Resouces humanresources@gla.ac.uk to register your personal email address.

Please allow 48 hours after confirmed registration before applying for your GUID.
