Before you log on for the first time
Staff who have not reset their password within the past 12 months are required to do so in order to use the full features of SharePoint. (direct access to other online University resources)
This can be done via:
- password self-service or
- GUID registration if you have not previously registered your GUID.
About
SharePoint is a creative collaboration environment for students and staff at the University of Glasgow. You can use it to assist your studies, research or work.

- log on with your GUID and associated password
Features
These include
- access to online University resources
- personal web space,
- shared web space,
- document libraries with versioning,
- wikis, blogs, lists, surveys and workflow.
Your My Site is your personal space where you can create your own work environment and share with others in the University as you choose. Your My Site also provides direct access to other online web resources (E-mail, WebSurf, Moodle etc) without the need to login again or use VPN.
Team sites allow groups of co-workers to obtain and manage collaborative workspace, and you can set up your own under your MySite.
Schools, Institutes and Services can also run their own team sites to use as intranets or for various larger collaborations.
