Fift years of computing!

IT community lunchtime meeting (fifty years of computing) As part Glasgow University's 'Fifty Years of computing' celebrations, IT Services monthly IT support community forum was delivered by John Patterson, formerly of Computing Science. John's lecture covered the very early days from the formation of the first computing lab at Glasgow, through the acquisition of the early computers at the University, right up to the present Academic year. Linda McCormick, a previous Director of Computing Service (and another figure from the history of computing at Glasgow) and John are seen here cutting a celebration birthday cake.
