Binding: Germany, 16th-century blind-tooled quarter pigskin over wooden boards;  remains of a single, chased brass clasp (hinging on the rear board, catch plate on front board lost);  the leather decorated with rosette and foliate stamps between rows of fillets (all worn);  19th-century red leather title label on spine;  front pastedown is leaf H8 from Alanus de Rupe. Psalterium Virginis Mariae [German].  Unser Lieben Frauen Psalter.  Ulm: Conrad Dinckmut, 1492 (ISTC ir00363000);  rear pastedown is an unidentified partial leaf (printed in two columns in black and red) containing Latin liturgical text (early 16th century?);  19th-century flyleaves added at front and rear.   Size: 206 × 142 mm.
