Bound with: The second of two incunabula bound together.   Bound with:  Gesta Romanorum.  [Strassburg:  Johann (Reinhard) Grüninger], 15 Jan. 1488.   The two works were certainly bound together by 1691 since both titles are specified in the entry in 'Catalogus librorum Bibliothecae Universitatis Glasguensis anno 1691' – see Provenance.

Binding: Scotland, 20th-century half black morocco, blue cloth sides;  sprinkled red-edged leaves;  gilt spine title and oval gilt stamp of Glasgow College Library at foot of spine;  modern pastedowns;  no surviving evidence of earlier binding;  tear indicating now lost tab on a2r.   Size:  283 x 205 mm.
Leaf size: 276 x 202 mm.
Annotations: Copious marginal annotations in a 16th-century hand on a1v-a6r;  occasional annotations in a different 16th-century hand elsewhere;  heavy “nota” marks in some sections in charcoal(?) with considerable offsetting onto facing page;  number “2” on lower margin of a1r;  title “Hiſtoria troyana” in red on upper margin of a1r.
Decoration: Initials supplied in red throughout, some with pen-work decoration;  capital strokes in red;  chapter headings underlined in red.
Imperfections: None.
