Provenance: Joseph Arnoult (late 18th century), Professor of Medicine at Nantes:  on a2r faded inscription  “ex Lib. Josephi Arnoult d.M. ...”;  heavily faded annotation in French - perhaps also by Arnoult - on a1r (only partially legible under ultraviolet lamp) “avec ... relié en ce même volume ...”.
Thomas Arthur (fl. 1856-1876), bookseller, London:  sold book to William Euing.
William Euing (1788-1874), insurance broker, Glasgow:  purchased from Arthur 30 May 1870 according to Euing’s pencil acquisition note with price code on a1r “30 5 70 Arthur ae/-” together with his inventory number “No. 4829”;  source confirmed in Euing’s acquisition inventory (University of Glasgow Library, MS Euing 49).
