New staff induction events

Welcome to the University of Glasgow as a new member of staff.    The Staff Development Service offers a range of new staff induction events.

Corporate Induction

As part of welcoming and supporting you as a new employee in your first few months at the University, the Staff Development Service provides a short 90-minute induction event.  This session covers: university structure and strategies as well as useful information about facilities, benefits and policies relevant to working life at the University.  It also provides you with the opportunity to meet other new staff at the University.  The next available date for the Corporate Induction Session is Thursday 19th September.  If you would like to attend please book via the Corporate Induction page.  Further sessions will be scheduled as and when required.

New Staff Stallholder Event

The Staff Development Service organise a New Staff Stallholder Event twice yearly which is funded by the Ferguson Bequest and hosted by the Principal.  The event aims to provide staff with more information on the various University services and functions, as well as giving you a chance to meet other new colleagues and key personnel.  The last event was on Thursday 30 May.  The next available date for the New Staff Stallholder Event is Wednesday 23rd October 2013.

University of Glasgow Campus Tour

The Staff Development Service offers a University of Glasgow Tour for new employees which is funded by the Ferguson Bequest. These tours offer you the chance to discover the University’s architecture and 550 years of history.  The date for the next tour is Tuesday 24th September 2013 at 9.30am.
