Training
The HR/Payroll system is now live and from 8 September all staff should be able to access Employee Self Service enabling you to update personal details, change your bank account details and submit leave requests. You can access the system via the link on the HR website or the link below:
Further training sessions have been arranged for staff on the following dates and new dates for March will be published soon. If you haven’t already been invited to attend training and you feel you should have been please email hrpproject@gla.ac.uk.

Regular training will be provided to new managers and staff on an ongoing basis.
The training documentation for Employee Self Service (ESS) and Manager Self Service (MSS) is available to view using UPK (User Productivity Kit) software. The UPK Player will open in a new window when you click the link below:

When the Player opens, the Playback Mode will appear in the upper right-hand corner.
Select the desired title, module and topic and then select the desired Playback Mode.
Playback Modes
The See It! Mode - automatically takes the user through the lesson showing bubble explanations of the actions.
The Try It! Mode - allows the user to progress through the lesson with suggestions at each step.
The Know It? Mode - allows the user to progress through the lesson under one of four modes selected for assistance. The lesson does not have to be completed, if desired, and thus no score is given for the work done. Otherwise, a score will be recorded in the Testing Center.
The Do It! Mode - accessed from a Help link in the Oracle Application window. The Do It! Pane will open on top of the application and lead the user through the process step-by-step.
