The Agency Workers regulations
The Agency Workers Regulations 2010 came into force on the 1 October 2011 giving Agency workers specific rights from the first day of their assignment and further rights after a qualifying 12 week period. The day one rights include access to certain facilities and job vacancies.  After completing a 12 week qualifying period they will gain additional rights relating to basic pay and allowances similar to a comparable employees of the University.  More details regarding these rights can be found under Agency Workers Regulations frequently asked questions .  If you have further questions please contact your local Human Resources Team. 

Agency Worker induction
Agency workers now have the right to access certain facilities from when they start an assignment with the University.  A welcome note has been developed for new agency workers providing basic induction guidance and information on facilities within the University.  A copy of this should be provided to them on the first day of their assignment at the University.
