We have looked at your comments from our recent customer survey and have taken action.

You said you would like breakfast cereal and porridge to be available

From January these products will be available in all outlets

You said you'd like better value for money

Our new sandwich range being launched on Monday 21st January includes the Simple range priced at £1.25 for students or £1.50 for staff and visitors. The Meal Deal prices have been reduced to £3 for all customers.

You said you would like a meat-based soup

We are introducing a meat soup such as lentil and bacon or chicken noodle every Tuesday in the following outlets: Food to go, Food for thought, Atrium Cafe, Links Cafe, STAC, the Food Farm and Gilchrist Postgraduate Club. The soup in One A The Square will be suitable for our vegan customers every day.

You said you'd like longer opening hours of Food in focus (Library Cafe on level 3)

The Cafe is now open from 10am-8pm Monday to Friday and noon-5pm at the weekends. During exam time, the opening hours will be extended further. The vending machines are available at all times when the Library is open.

You said that the service could be better sometimes

We have shared the survey results and comments with our team to help them understand how we can improve our service.

You said you'd like more healthy options

The Fraser Building catering outlets (Food to go and Food for thought) have recently been granted a 'Healthy Living Award' which means there are always healthy options available. We intend for all out outlets to have the 'Healthy Living Award' over the coming months. Find out more about the Award.

You said you liked the variety and choice of the hot food in Food for thought and One A The Square's Brasserie

We will continue to vary our menus and look at include popular food choices wherever possible using seasonal and locally sourced products.
