How to join the Research Club: Whether you are a postgraduate student, mature student, undergraduate already possessing a degree, or member of staff, you are welcome to join.

Membership: New and renewing members can join the club between 12 noon and 3pm every weekday. Someone will be available in the entrance hall.

Facilities: We have two fully licensed bars, extensive breakfast, lunch and evening menus, regular entertainments and we are, of course, a welcome place to meet up during the day or in the evening.

Location: Where to find us. We are located on the south side of University Gardens - so why not come along.

Opening Times: Monday -Thursday: 10am - Midnight ; Friday: 10am - 1am  Saturday: 8pm - 1am ;   Sunday: Closed. Please note that the club may close at 11pm on very quiet weeknights. The club will be closed on Saturday 13th June, but open on Sunday 14th June from 9pm - 2am

Committee: The Club doesn't run by itself. Behind the scenes a group of the club's members organise gigs and social events, coming up with new ideas for the club. If you want to get involved in with making the club even better. If you are a Club member, please come along to our Committee Meetings.

Committee meetings: are usually at 6.30 pm on the first Monday of every month upstairs at the Hetherington Research Club.   All club members welcome!

Committee minutes and accounts: on display on the noticeboard in the ground floor foyer of the club.

Would you like to help with the running of your Club?  The Research Club is run by a Committee of volunteers who do everything from organising events to opening the door for members and guests.

Work for beer! The Committee is very short of members just now. If you can spare a few hours a month, you can earn vouchers which can be redeemed at the bar for food or drinks.
