Stevenson Extension & GUU Refurbishment
The University is currently looking at a project which involves the demolition of the GUU Extension (currently occupied by the Hive nightclub) to be replaced with a new building. The proposed new building consists of an extension to the Stevenson Sports Centre in addition to some refurbishment proposals for replacement student facilities within the Glasgow University Union.
The Project Team are working closely with colleagues in Sports and Recreation and the GUU to prepare a package of information which will be submitted with Glasgow City Council for planning consent (winter 2012). ECD Architects and Park/Park Architects have been appointed as lead consultants on the project.
