Scottish Centre for Ecology and the Natural Environment (SCENE) Phase 2
SCENE is the University of Glasgow's field station on Loch Lomond - a leading field station for teaching, training and research in ecology and environmental sciences. SCENE is run by the Institute of Biodiversity, Animal Health & Comparative Medicine within the College of Medical, Veterinary & Life Sciences of the University of Glasgow.
Phase two of the works are under development and will see a new teaching wing complete the investment.
Works commenced on 5th November 2012 and is due to be complete by autumn/winter 2013. The project is jointly funded by the University and the European Union. The new accommodation will provide a new lecture theatre, teaching labratory and accommodation for 45 teachers and students.
The project is being managed by John Stevenson, Jennifer Russell on planning matters and Murdo Macaulay as Clerk of works.
