Procedure for Dealing with Liquid Spillages
All chemical and fuel spillages should be recorded and reported to the Grounds Department. Where applicable the incident should also be reported to:
- Central Services and
Absorbent granules are available from:
- Grounds Compounds
- Thurso Street Recycling Depot
- Home Farm (skip area)
Stocks will be replenished on a routine basis (quarterly) however usage of the granules must be reported to ensure stock levels outwith the quarterly routine. A risk assessment should be carried out to evaluate any potential hazard and any possible risk reduction measures which can be established. All efforts must be made to avoid contamination of water sources, ditches and drains.
