Minor Works

The Minor Works programme, which has been warmly welcomed by academic colleagues, was introduced in 2007/08 to respond to Faculty and University Services demand to deliver immediate minor upgrading works to support Faculty 'in year' business and planning.  In Financial Year 2008/09 the programme was reviewed across all Faculties and University Services.  Approval to continue the programme was given by Estates Committee.

On average the Minor Works programme delivers over 400 minor projects within a financial year.  Potential projects are identified and prioritised at Faculty level.  Estates and Buildings report budget estimates to the Faculty.  Following approval, works are authorised and delivered by Estates and Buildings.

Minor Works are delivered by Clerk of Works Group supported by an Estates Development Manager and Administration Services.
