Equality Impact Assessment Policy and Guidance
The University has developed a policy and process for conducting Equality Impact Assessments (EIA). This has been developed by the Equality and Diversity Unit and is unique to the University of Glasgow. The EIA Policy and Guidance was approved by the Equality and Diversity Strategy Committee in December 2008, after conducting several pilot projects with different parts of the University.
The EIA Policy and Guidance document outlines the following;
- What is an EIA?
- The relevant legislation.
- What evidence is required when conducting an EIA?
- Benefits of completing an EIA.
- Support and guidance from the EDU.
The guidance presents a step by step process of how to conduct an EIA, this is illustrated with case study examples. The EIA Policy and Guidance document, and the EIA form is available through the quick links on this page.
