What data management training is available at the University?

For staff:

A number of courses are provided through Staff Development Service on areas relevant to data management, such as managing research data, publishing in refereed journals and writing impact statements for grant proposals. See their courses for researchers.

A number of IT training courses are available on using software such as Excel, Access, NVivo and Endnote.

Research and Enterprise host a number of training courses and annual conferences to support researcher development.

For postgraduate students:

There are lots of training courses for PhD students noted here.

What external training is available?

The Digital Curation Centre offers basic data management courses for researchers of all disciplines, called DC101.  Upcoming courses are listed here: http://www.dcc.ac.uk/training/dc-101

JISC Digital Media offers various audiovisual training courses.

The UK Data Archive offer training for social science researchers and has produced an excellent introductory guide to managing and sharing data for all researchers.
