About Us
The University of Glasgow, (recently named as Scottish University of the Year) dates from the middle of the fifteenth century and is, today, one of the UK's leading universities with nearly 20,000 students, 6,000 staff and an outstanding academic reputation both nationally and internationally.
The University also plays an important role in Scotland's cultural life with some of Glasgow's best-known tourist attractions, including the Hunterian Museum (Scotland's oldest public museum), the Hunterian Art Gallery and the Mackintosh House being based at the heart of the University.
The Conference & Visitor Services Office was formed in 1988 to help manage the University of Glasgow's involvement in the Garden Festival, and now manages a venue and summer accommodation portfolio which is simply without equal throughout Scotland.
Our team of event and tourism specialists (proud holders of the Hospitality Assured Award for business excellence) are your first point of contact if you are looking to hold an event at the University of Glasgow or would like to reserve accommodation in our own Residences (mid-June to mid-September) or from our extensive Hotel List, offering exclusive discounted rates.
