Format of Papers

Papers should be sent in electronically.

Committee minutes should be provided in full to Court, together with a clearly presented cover sheet which provides a brief description of the minute, details of all matters requiring a decision/approval by Court, and details of resource implications.

Template for Court Cover Sheet

Committee Servicing (this is general information for Committees of Court who still require reports from their subcommittees).

A complex topic may require additional paperwork for Court, in addition to committee minutes and the cover sheet - for example a new policy may require approval.  The additional paperwork, if lengthy, should be accompanied by a summary of about 2 pages.  It is possible that only this summary will be included in the formal Court papers, with longer policy documents being made available to Court electronically for reference.  This should be taken into consideration when writing the summary paper, which must include key points, references where relevant to strategic and resource issues, and contain clear guidance on areas where Court's decision or view is being sought.
