How to make an appointment
You can make an appointment in one of the following ways:
- Fill out our online form
- Visit the office at 65 Southpark Avenue
- Email: studentcounselling@glasgow.ac.uk
If you have any questions, you can call us on 0141 330 4528. There is a confidential answerphone for out of hours calls. Once you have registered with us, we aim to offer you an initial assessment with a counsellor within a few weeks. This first assessment is an opportunity to discuss your concerns with the counsellor and for you to work out together what might be a helpful way forward. This will last for up to 50 minutes. If you and the counsellor decide that you would benefit from counselling, you will be placed on the waiting list for up to ten counselling sessions.
We will ask you to arrive five to ten minutes early for your initial assessment to fill out a questionnaire, which is part of our standard evaluation system. If you have any questions about the service, about other sources of help, or want to pick up some self-help literature, please feel free to visit our office, phone us on 0141 330 4528 or email us (studentcounselling@glasgow.ac.uk) We are open from Monday to Friday between 9 am and 5 pm.
