1. Student feedback

Students are asked to complete an end of course questionaire for every course they attend; this provides an opportunity to tell us how you feel about the course. A copy of the evaluation form will be given to you by your course tutor, but if you are no longer attending the class or would prefer to complete the form electronically, you can do so here: Certificate in Higher Education course evaluation form 2011-2012 / Open Programme course evaluation form 2011-2012. This feedback is used to ensure there is a consistent standard of quality throughout our programme and may provide a basis for future improvements.

If you are unhappy about the content or delivery of the course itself, please raise this with your tutor in the first instance, since they may be able to provide a satisfactory explanation or address your concern in a future part of the course. If you do not feel that the matter has been resolved by this means, or wish to make a more serious complaint, please write to, or email, the Information Office in the Centre for Open Studies (St Andrew's Building, 11 Eldon Street, Glasgow, G3 6NH, or email openstudies-enquiry@glasgow.ac.uk). You will be sent a note to confirm receipt, and your letter will be forwarded to an appropriate person in the Centre for Open Studies who will investigate your complaint. You will be sent a reply to the points raised in your letter at the earliest possible opportunity. We hope that this will offer you a satisfactory resolution. If any problems remain, we will advise you about what to do next. Registered students may wish to consult the Complaints Procedure set out in the University's Calander at:

2. Student staff representative group

The Centre for Open Studies is now operating a student staff liaison committee to cover all its open programmes, ie the non-accredited courses, the ACE, the language and the CertHE programmes. Angela McDonald, one of the centre's subject specialists, is the convenor of this group. If you are interested in participating, please get in touch with Angela (tel: 0141 330 4581, email: angelamcdonald@glasgow.ac.uk). More information on this group, and how to contact your representatives with any issues you would like to have discussed, will be made available shortly. Below are the minutes for our two previous meetings:

SSRG-Minutes for meeting on 14th November 2011
