| Job description: |
We offer an outstanding summer internship programme for students who are in the penultimate year of their university studies and working towards at least a 2.1 honours degree.
The internship lasts for 8-12 weeks between June and August, during which you will be based in one of our practice areas.
You will get hands-on experience in a friendly and supportive team, working with technical experts at all levels of their careers, and getting an authentic feel for what it’s like to be a consultant with us. As a summer intern you could be involved in:
• Carrying out individual and group member calculation checks
• Observing and participating in client meetings in person or over conference facilities
• Drafting written documents and emails to colleagues and clients
• Data gathering and assisting with data cleansing on our systems
• Assisting with hands-on design and testing of actuarial computer models which can be used by our consultants and clients
• Helping to analyse the business requirements of our actuarial modelling and risk analytic software

| Personal requirements: |
In addition to being in your penultimate year at university and working towards a 2.1 honours degree, you will need:
• A level/Higher Grade A in Maths, or equivalent
• GCSE or Higher Grade English at grade C or above, or equivalent
• Strong communication skills
• A flexible and proactive approach and effective team working skills
• The ability and willingness to learn, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Commitment to high standards, even when working to challenging deadlines
• An enthusiasm for a consultancy career in pensions
