| Job description: |
Bakkavor is looking to recruit 20 graduates for their 2014 September intake. It has been recruiting graduates for over ten years now, and this success plays a crucial part of the group's succession planning for the future leaders of the business. It has opportunities in New Product Development, Technical, Manufacturing, HR, Finance and Commercial functions across its UK business units. Due to its international focus, it is also looking to take on four graduates for their business in China; people who are currently undertaking a food degree in the UK, but would be interested in working for Bakkavor in the UK for a year and then transferring to the Asia businesses. Language ability in Mandarin or Cantonese is a pre-requisite for these additional roles.
Bakkavor's graduate schemes consist of 2 or 3 twelve month placements at different business facilities in the UK, exposing you to working with different teams, products and customers.
The HR scheme involves funding and support for you to complete your CIPD qualification, whilst the Finance Scheme takes you through your CIMA qualification. Throughout the first two years all graduates undertake courses to develop their management skills and commercial awareness; courses include Management and Leadership, Presentation Skills, Finance for Non-Finance Managers. The aim of all the schemes is to fast track you to management within five years of joining the group.
