Information for Members of Staff
The Club 21 Business Partnership Programme provides challenging, structured work experience opportunities to students from the University of Glasgow. In the majority of cases, students are able to work on projects which will enhance the their own skills and personal development and, at the same time, allow them to make a worthwhile contribution to the host organisation. Club 21 is able to provide placement opportunities to students from most degree disciplines. 2011 placement opportunities are now being advertised (with new opportunities arising throughout the academic year) so please visit Current Club 21 Placement Opportunities, and for a current list of member companies please see Current Club 21 Employers. You may also like to keep up to date with what's new in Club 21 by checking our Latest News page.
Students are given full support while on placement and will be visited at the mid-placement stage and at the end of the placement by a member of Club 21 staff. Students are also expected to complete a Club 21 Placement Learning Diary while on placement. This diary encourages the student to appraise their own development and progress and to reflect on their own performance; identifying those skills which they are good at while also identifying those skills which require further attention.
Club 21 staff are keen to work closely with schools and colleges, and are able to make presentations to groups of students to explain the value of experience and to show how Club 21 can help them achieve this. If you would like to discuss the ways in which your school or college could work more closely with Club 21 please contact Sheena McBeth (Club 21 Project Manager).
