How Club 21 can help your business
The Club 21 Business Partnership Programme is a group of forward-thinking member companies and charities who recognise that a skilled and high-quality workforce is their strongest asset. Member organisations provide work experience opportunities to University of Glasgow students and, in return, gain:
- Access to an efficient, low cost graduate recruitment scheme by offering a work placement to attract the most suitable student(s) to their organisation at an early stage.
- A talented student who can bring fresh ideas to the organisation.
- A completed project to benefit the organisation.
- An insight into the range of skills developed through particular degrees.
- Business networking opportunities with other Club 21 members and the University of Glasgow.
The Club 21 Business Partnership Programme welcomes organisations of all sizes from Blue Chip to SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises). We also advertise placements on a voluntary basis for the charity sector. If you are a company or charity and would like to arrange a meeting to discuss Club 21 please contact Sheena McBeth (Club 21 Project Manager).
Club 21 may not be the best option for your business needs at the moment but why not consider working with the University of Glasgow in other ways?:
- Graduate/Internship Fairs- if you would like to find out more about fairs hosted by the University of Glasgow Careers Service please go to our website for more information.
"The Club 21 Business Partnership Programme has proven to be a major success for IBM in Greenock. 2009 was the first year we participated and there was scepticism with regards to how much a student could contribute during a 6-8 week placement. We have been delighted with the quality of the students provided for us by Club 21 at the University of Glasgow. Their self motivation and professional approach has enabled them to settle in very quickly and integrate into the department operations. They HAVE made a real contribution."
Robin Gordon, Strategy Manager and Business Development Manager, IBM Scotland.
