Background to Club 21 Business Partnership
The Club 21 Business Partnership Programme has been running successfully since March 2000. It was established in response to Government calls to Higher Education Institutions to work more closely with industry to enhance student employability. Many students and employers have already benefited from participation in the programme. Since its launch by Baroness Smith and the then Principal of the University, Professor Sir Graeme Davies, Club 21 has forged a strong link between the University of Glasgow and both the business community and the charitable sector. Member organisations represent a wide range of occupational sectors and operate locally, nationally, and in some cases, internationally.
