1. CTC Wings: Training tomorrow's airline pilots today
Ever thought about becoming an airline pilot? Now is a good time.
"CTC Wings" is a career development programme for tomorrow's airline pilots and this workshop aims to unravel the misconceptions about entry requirements and explain our 'Vertically Integrated' (VI) training philosophy. 'VI' in CTC terms means that, from day one of your training, you will do things the airline way.
We introduce airline procedures, disciplines and philosophies far earlier than most training schools and this workshop will seek to introduce you to some basic concepts and give you an insight into the training required.

This workshop will take you through general assessment centre processes and types of exercises. It will give you and insight into competency based assessment and marking and give you hints and tips from our assessors for the big day.
5. Freescale Semi-conductor: Life After Uni – Workplace Survival and Success
The workshop will focus on the transferable (non-technical) skills that are developed at University, that are relevant in day to day working life. Will discuss the following “7 P’s”:

It will describe the importance of each of these aspects, and how they relate to the ability to be successful in a global company.
The interactive session will also give an insight into the working life, and how this differs from the university environment, with a focus on things being ‘up to you’ to get things done, without handholding.

4. Ernst & Young: Application Skills
Ernst & Young’s application skills session will provide practical advice for completing your application and recruitment process. Join our interactive session lead by our graduate recruitment experts to get a head start with your application process.
5. GE: ‘Dressed to Impress’: Effectively using Verbal & Non-Verbal influencing for Interview Success
In today’s crowded graduate job market, any advantage that you as a candidate can gain is invaluable. Therefore, it is critical to know how your dress, posture, voice and many other factors can influence your potential future employers. This workshop will act as a practical guide, grounded in relevant theory, in verbal and non-verbal influencing to give you an added edge in the graduate recruitment process.
6. Logica: Phone Interview skills
Logica will be holding a workshop focusing on succeeding at telephone interviews, an increasingly common feature of graduate recruitment assessment processes.
It will introduce the audience to the concept of telephone interviews and what they are likely to encounter during them.
Some hints and tips on how to tackle phone interviews will be suggested, throwing light on those things that will give candidates an edge, from their preparation before hand to handling the actual phone interview itself. People attending this session will leave confident that with the right preparation they can look forward to both enjoying and succeeding with their phone interviews.
7. Mott MacDonald: What Engineering employers are looking for
This will be an interactive workshop covering interviews, basic skills, summer employment etc. There will also have a mechanical engineer present so it will not be totally focused on civil engineering.
