Information for Students

Thursday 13th October
1100 - 1500, Hunter Halls, University of Glasgow

Why should I attend?
Skills for Work: Engineering & Technology is open to undergraduates & postgraduates at the University of Glasgow who are looking for a career in the Engineering & Technology sector.

Key employers from the Engineering & Technology sector are invited to exhibit and network with students, like yourself, who are interested in working in this field. In addition to the Exhibitor Fair there will be a range of employer-hosted skills-based workshops.

Format:
1100 - 1200 Employer Workshops
1200 - 1400 Exhibitor Fair
1400 - 1500 Employer workshops

View the exhibitor list. There might be an employer exhibiting with vacancies you didn’t realise matched your skills and qualifications!

Read up on the companies attending and what opportunities they have. Think of the questions you want to ask or topics you want to discuss with the exhibitors.

Attend a workshop. A series of workshops will take place from 1100 - 1200 and 1400 - 1500. Pre-registation for workshops is required. Information will follow in September.

It's on campus!

Create or develop an existing CV using the Careers Service. Bring it along on the day to hand out to employers.

Key Things to do:
• Get a name! It helps you immensely with your follow up and if you have any further questions.
• If you want to apply make sure you know what to do now, where to get an application form and any deadlines you have to meet.
• Enjoy the day!
