Research

The School of Veterinary Medicine forms part of the College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences. Our mission is to integrate research activities across the broad field of research encompassing infectious and genetic diseases of animals and man, to develop novel animal models of human disease and to foster translational research in veterinary medicine.

The School of Veterinary Medicine maintains a multidisciplinary research culture that is responsive to advances in technology and changing priorities in the international arena.

Our activities are focused in three academic divisions:

  • Small Animal Clinical Sciences
  • Large Animal Clinical Sciences and Public Health:
    Current research activities: Pain and Welfare research group
  • Veterinary Biosciences
