UK Collaborative Centre for Housing Evidence (CaCHE)

UK Collaborative Centre for Housing Evidence (CaCHE)

Glasgow rooftops

CaCHE is the UK’s Collaborative Centre for Housing Evidence – a consortium of 12 partners led by the University of Glasgow. It is a five-year programme funded by the Economic and Social Research Council, Joseph Rowntree Foundation and the Arts and Humanities Research Council.

CaCHE is an inclusive, all-UK, multidisciplinary partnership between academics and housing policy and practice. It aims to take a housing systems approach to produce evidence and new research to improve housing policy and practice across the UK for all.

The centre will be directed by Professor Kenneth Gibb, University of Glasgow. Professor Craig Watkins (University of Sheffield) will be director of research, Dr Scott Orford (University of Cardiff) will be data director and Gavin Smart (Chartered Institute of Housing) will be communications and engagement director.

The project will officially begin in August 2017 and will launch in the Autumn. At that time this temporary website will be replaced by a full centre website.

If you would like to know more about CaCHE, would like to get involved in our proposed activities or have ideas for collaborative work, please contact Ken Gibb.
