Taught Degrees

• MSc in History with an emphasis on History of Medicine (College of Social Sciences)
• MLitt in History with an emphasis on History of Medicine (College of Arts)

If you are undertaking the School of History's masters course you may devote up to half your coursework to medical history.

If you are applying for a Wellcome Trust award you must take two medical history modules and complete a dissertation on a medical history theme. Other students may include optional elements of medical history in their choice of modules or dissertation subjects.

Research Degrees

We also welcome applications from suitably qualified candidates to study for PhD or MD degrees.

Funding

It is common for students to apply to more than one funding body. Current students are funded by:

• Wellcome Trust studentships for Masters courses
• ESRC studentships
• University studentships on College of Social Sciences website
