Summer Student Administration 2011-2012
Scholarship Payments
- In the 2011/2012 session, the weekly payment rate is £170. The normal project duration is 6 to 8 weeks.
- For those who will be current GU students for the duration of their projects, please ensure your bank details have been added to MyCampus as payment will be facilitated this way.For those who will not be current GU students for the duration of their projects, please sign and date the Sundry Payee Form and forward to Lynne Stewart (Rm 508) by 18th June 2012. This form will enable a cheque to be drafted, which you must collect from the Cash Section of the Finance Office (upon presentation of your passport), and can be cashed at the Clydesdale Bank in Byres Road. - You will be required to submit a paper summarising your Summer Studentship at the end of the project period (please refer to your Supervisor for further details about this).
School Registration
- Please ensure that you take some time to read through the School handbook 2012 and the Safety Handbook. These Handbooks contain useful information relating to the operating procedures of the School, as well as points of contact in the School.
- When you arrive in the School the Emergency Contact Form must be completed and returned to the School Secretary (Rm 508).
- If you will require access to the Kelvin Building outwith normal hours, please complete the Swipe Card Application Form and return it to Peter Barbour (Rm 515b).
- You are also required to complete a Risk Assessment in conjunction with your Supervisor. Completed Risk Assessment Forms should be completed shortly after you commence your studentship and returned to Peter Barbour (Rm 515b). Please contact your Supervisor for further details regarding the Risk Assessment.
