PhD in French Scholarship

AHRC Studentship in French Language and CultureApplications are available at the College of Arts Graduate School website.  Please consult the French staff research pages for possible areas of supervision before completing your online application for study. The closing date for both the AHRC Studentship applications and accompanying PhD in French applications is Monday 20th May.

TWO JOSEF FRONEK MPHIL (RESEARCH) SCHOLARSHIPS
IN CZECH STUDIES 2013-14

Each scholarship has a value of £5000, £4,000 of which will be deducted to cover tuition fees and the remainder be given as a stipend. International students should be aware that their tuition fee differs from those of Home/EU students.

The successful candidates must have applied through the online application system (How to apply for a research degree) and been accepted either conditionally or unconditionally for an MPhil (R) in Czech Studies (i.e. history, literature, politics, media or cinematography). Current areas of research in Czech Studies can be accessed through the School of Modern Languages & Cultures research pages. Further questions relating to research topics should be directed to Dr Jan Culik.

 

 

The following Scholarships are now closed for 2013-14.

Stevenson Scholarship in Italian

  • Funding for a new PhD student in Italian for tuition (Home and EU fee) plus maintenance of £3,000 per annum for three years only. Please consult the Italian staff research pages for possible areas of supervision before completing your online application for study.

Complete the SMLC Scholarship Form 2013-14 and return as directed by 1 March 2013.

William C. Atkinson Scholarship in Hispanic Studies

  • Funding for a new PhD student in Hispanic Studies for tuition (Home and EU fee) plus maintenance of £2,000 per annum for three years only.  Please consult the Hispanic staff research pages for possible areas of supervision before completing your online application for study.

Complete the SMLC Scholarship Form 2013-14 and return as directed by 1 March 2013.

SMLC Taught Masters Scholarships

  • Four scholarships to the value of £2,500 each for either of the one-year postgraduate taught programmes offered by SMLC: MLitt in European Studies: Cultures, Societies and Languages or the MSc in Translation Studies: Translation & Professional Practice.

Complete the SMLC Scholarship Form 2013-14 and return as directed by 1 March 2013.
