Welfare & Social Programme

For all students on Pre-sessional EFL Courses, we offer welfare advice and support, and an active social programme.


Welfare

Your welfare is important to us, and our advisors hold drop-in sessions every week to answer questions, give advice and help with problems.

 Examples
  • Accommodation: e.g. how to find private/university accommodation; how to apply for a council tax exemption; how to open utility (gas, electricity etc.) accounts; how to buy a TV licence; how to get an internet connection installed
  • Travel: e.g. how to get a student bus/rail card; how to travel/plan travel to various locations in the UK and beyond
  • Visas for students and dependents
  • Driving in the UK: e.g. how to get a UK driving licence; buying a car

Our social programme events introduce you to life in Glasgow and Scotland. From October to June we offer one evening and one weekend event per month. From July to September we offer one evening and one weekend event every week.
