Biography

In 2010, Genevieve moved from a research career to a lecturer position in the School of Medicine Dentistry and Nursing where she is currently Deputy Director for Year 1 MBChB in the undergraduate medical school.

Prior to that, Genevieve graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a PhD in molecular biology where she identified genes involved in memory and cognition in the hippocampus. Her postdoctoral research focused on intracellular signalling events involved in oocyte meiotic maturation (University of Washington, Seattle), cancer cell invasion (Beatson Institute, Glasgow), and cuticle formation in C. elegans (University of Glasgow).
