Annual McGirr Lecture 2014

Emma Cartwright, a young person with diabetes delivered the lecture on her own experiences, that led to her establishing a Facebook page in Tayside for teenagers with diabetes. Read more about Emma and see photos from lecture or read more about the McGirr lecture series.

Attended by students, staff, NHS colleagues and representatives of the McGirr family, everyone was challenged to consider the important role that social media can play in supporting people with long term conditions.
