MBChB Educators Guidance

This page is designed to assist staff involved in teaching University of Glasgow MBChB students on clinical placements.

The Undergraduate Medical School is greatly appreciative of the contributions made by those who provide our students with placement opportunities.

The below information outlines everything you need to know to help you prepare, organise and deliver teaching to ensure that all students get the best possible training.

Operation Colleague

The Medical School are entering this session aware of the challenges ahead presented by the COVID pandemic and the associated precautions instituted around all healthcare settings.

We recognise that there will be many competing pressures on your time, but wanted to stress the importance of continuing the high quality teaching and training ensuring a constant throughput of motivated medical graduates to keep our NHS running.

Our aim is to make sure that you align your expectations of students with your expectations of a colleague - in this regard, we have launched some new initiatives bundled together as Operation Colleague.
