Senior Clinical Lecturer in Anaesthetics / Specialist Registrar, Western General Infirmary, Glasgow
Pharmacological and regional analgesia management of acute and chronic pain. Particularly interested in the diagnosis and early treatment of neuropathic pain. Leading the Clinical Trials Unit at the Pain Clinic in Gartnavel, which runs both acute and chronic pain studies. Undertaken over 40 commercial studies over the past eight years, and is on the Advisory Board of 4 commercial companies.
- Chairman of the Research and Priority Programme for Pain & Acute Medicine for the Greater Glasgow Acute Hospitals Trust.
Chairman of the Local Arrangements Committee for the IASP World Congress on Pain held in Glasgow, August 2008.
