This programme is for Health-professionals (doctors, dentists, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals, and veterinary surgeons) who manage, teach, assess or contribute to undergraduate or postgraduate education in their professional domain.
The programme welcomes scholars who are associated with the University of Glasgow, the National Health Service, or other institutions within the UK, Europe or beyond.
The programme is taught 'on-line', for students (in the UK and overseas) who wish to attend from their home, or, 'in-room' for those who prefer to attend the Wolfson Medical School Building.
Students enter the Doctoral Programme, and pass through four courses. Course 1, (60 credits), Course 2 (60 credits) Course 3 (dissertation) and Course 4 (thesis). Students who leave the programme after course 1 receive a Certificate, after course 2 a Diploma and after course 3 a Masters Degree. It is necessary to complete the Masters dissertation before entering Course 4. After completing Course 4 students graduate with a Professional Doctorate in Health-professions Education (DHPE).
