Dr Radostin Simitev(PI), Dr David MacTaggart and DrRobert Teed have been awarded a 4.5M CPU hour allocation on the STFC DiRAC high-performance supercomputing facility (dirac.ac.uk) for their project "Consolidated Grant: Dynamos in the Solar System". The project is aimed at reproducing observed solar dynamo differential rotation profiles in numerical simulations, investigating bistability of nonlinear dynamo solutions and approaching a regime of realistic force balance in numerical models of planetary cores and atmospheres. The project is funded by the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) and has a 36-month duration starting in May 2021.

Congratulations to all involved!
