Monday 13th November, 2017

Prof Marian Scott and Dr Claire Miller are part of a team led by Dr Neil Munro in Social and Political Sciences that were awarded £49992 from the University's GCRF small grants fund to deliver a pilot research project on social accountability for sustainable provision of fresh water for domestic use in Tanzania. The purpose is to find out how local behaviour, motivations, and cultural and institutional constraints affect community-based efforts to make water governance institutions responsive to local needs.  The project includes Co-Is in the School of Engineering and from the University of Dar es Salaam, Shahidi wa Maji (SwM), Morogoro, Tanzania, and Water Witness International (WWI).
